Three sessions of three classes per session offered at Niantic Bay Yacht Club
You will learn how to rig and handle a boat, sailing safety, use of a compass and charts, coming about and how to cast off and dock – don’t know what that means? We’ll cover sailing terminology too! All taught by experienced instructors in a non-intimidating setting.
This is the perfect opportunity to learn to sail or improve your sailing skills!

INTRO TO SAILING (ADULT)
Session 1 - Class meets 6/19, 6/26, and 7/3 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
Session 2 - Class meets 7/10, 7/17, 7/24 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM.

Adult Sailing 2024 RECAP
NBSA’s Adult Sailing program continued to thrive in 2024, attracting a wave of new sailors. Designed for beginners and intermediate-level participants, our classes covered fundamental skills such as wind and current navigation, rigging, tacking, gybing, and more.
Thanks to the leadership of Chris Cooper and Ken Shluger, all classes were completely sold out this year! We’re thrilled to have introduced so many new sailors to the joys of being on the water and look forward to even more opportunities next season.
