NBSA WedNesday Night Fundraiser REgatta
July 10, 2024
Join us on July 10th for this year’s NBSA Wednesday Night Fundraising Regatta!! We are inviting our junior sailors to crew on big boats and invite all NBYC members and families of our junior sailors to enjoy the post-race festivities. In addition to a wonderful raffle and silent auction packed full of amazing items, we will offer delicious hors d'oeuvres along with ice cold beverages, a Wednesday Night post race must have! Don’t forget to bring your own glass for drinks!
We ask attendees and Wednesday Night Racers to consider making a donation to NBSA. There will be a registration table set up on the breakwater as you head out to your boat.
Skippers and crew should arrive at 4:30 sharp to get introduced to one another, make your donations, and head to your boats. If you’re joining for our post race festivities, they will begin at 7PM or as soon as the first boat hits the dock after races - Just another benefit to sailing fast!
Races will still count towards the Wednesday Night Race series.
Last year’s Wednesday Night Fundraising Regatta was a rousing success in so many ways! A record number of boats competed in the five categories. Winning their divisions were Tom and Dave Peck, Ezekiel Menendes, Greg McMahon, John Kittel and Gary Woodruff while dozens of junior sailors served as crew on each boat!
The auction and raffle, organized by Beth Shluger and her team of hardworking volunteers, brought out spirited and generous bidding, all to benefit the Dr. Bill Healy Scholarship Fund. Last year over $10,000 in scholarships were awarded to junior sailors!
Food and drink were donated by the Redmonds while brewmaster Gary Woodruff served up his newest creations!
